How we protect your deposit.

Last updated: July 2026

Also available in Spanish.

Neeru Vaults is a private fund in digital pesos. We designed the rules and controls so your deposit lives in a transparent contract with protections that execute automatically.

This page explains what we do for you, what depends on other actors, and which cases are uncommon but worth knowing before you deposit.

What we do to protect it

Changes with 48-hour notice

No adjustment to the fund's rules (rates, terms, penalties, or caps) takes effect without giving you 48 hours to review it. If a change does not suit you, you can close your position before it applies.

Automated liquidity guardrail

The contract reserves the capital needed to cover upcoming maturities, plus a buffer for withdrawals from the flexible vault. The treasury can only move surplus, it can never touch the reserve.

Internal audit and 116 technical tests

The team reviews the code before every release and maintains an automated test suite that runs on every change. No change ships without passing those tests.

You always control your wallet

We do not custody your digital pesos. We cannot freeze your deposit, we cannot move it, we cannot hold it. Only you, with your wallet, decide when to close your position.

Rate locked when you open your vault

Once you open a position, the rate active at that moment is locked until you close it or it renews. Forward-looking rate changes do not affect what you already deposited.

Penalty only on interest, never on principal

If you need to close a fixed position before maturity, the penalty applies only to accrued interest. Principal is never penalized. The flexible vault has no penalty.

What depends on others

The digital peso issuer

The digital pesos are COPm, a token issued by Mento Protocol and backed 1:1 by reserves. Its stability depends on the issuer and its reserves, not on Neeru.

Rates reflect normal conditions

The rates we show are targets. They reflect expected performance under normal market conditions. In highly unusual scenarios, actual performance may differ from target.

Uncommon cases worth knowing anyway

Technical failures in the contract

Contracts are reviewed and tested thoroughly, and we have not found incidents to date. Even so, no software system is free of technical failure. If one occurred, your deposit could be affected, as with any digital financial product.

Wallet care is your responsibility

Access to your funds depends on keeping your wallet and its recovery phrase safe. Keep it like the keys to a safe: we do not have them, so no one can restore them for you.

Changes in local or international regulation

The legal framework for digital products is evolving. Future regulatory changes may require modifying how the fund works or restricting access from certain jurisdictions.

Read it carefully before you deposit. If anything is unclear, write to us before moving any pesos. The full legal detail lives in our Terms of Service, which form part of the agreement you accept by using the protocol.

This page constitutes the formal Risk Disclosure referenced in the Terms.
